I guess I'm the only one still up. It is 11:20 pm here in Oregon.
Looks like teh crazy is pretty dilute this weekend. This is bad news for those of us who want to see the monkey dance and maybe even fling some poo, but for D. Frisch and her shattered life, it is a Good Thing. Assuming she has been advised by counsel to keep her fat yap shut concerning the RO imposed on her by the court, it means that she is (a) showing restraint and (b) bowing to the constraints placed on her by reality. These are adult virtues, the presence of which indicates that mental health is struggling to appear.
You can still see teh crazy, though. Read her posts; Deb's unreasoning, childish rage against those she thinks have hurt her is still there, but she's not giving it free reign. In Genesis, God tells Cain that "sin is crouching at the door, but you must master it", which it looks like Deb is trying to do. Lately, there's been none of her "bring it on" hollering and chest-beating going on as there was a few weeks ago -- Jeff Goldstein did indeed "bring it on" and I'm guessing Deb found the taste was not much to her liking. And some of her earlier posts gave the impression that she was going to fly out to Colorado and tell the RO judge and opposing counsel what it's all about, but all that seems to be gone now.
Where Deb was headed when this whole thing started only had one end: her pushing a shopping cart with a few belongings through downtown Eugene muttering to herself. That is the abyss and it appears as if Deb has shied away from it.
Now if she could only refrain from doing stupid things such as sock-puppeting suicide notices, she'd be well on her way to recovery and maybe a normal life. She'll have to come to grips with the fact that she's probably unemployable in academia and few people, if any, are going to be interested in the book she's writing, but these are all hurdles that can be taken one at a time.

Hey for those still up on the Left Coast (I hate that, really...) there's a fisking of a frisching over at Ace of Spades.

Can someone frisch themselves out of the dating market? Apparently so.

This gal's opinion of herself rivals teh Frisch.
Aah. Hear that? That's the sound of a pop culture reference settling into place. Sounds like... victory.

Got your e-pistle yesterday (Sat.); tried to respond but it bounced.
A brief summary: "cool; thanks".
