The Lexicon is growing. (Shadenfrisch - perfect.)

A new category, Debinitions, is under construction. We're all familiar with the frequent use of words and terms that the Anglosphere defines in accepted ways, but which Deb insists on "framing" into definitions favorable to her, and accepted by...her.

Deb, you keep using these words. We do not think they mean what you think they mean.

Example:
"Actionable": Anything you say about me that I don't like is something I can sue about, even if what you say is true. I can sue and will make lots of money on my actionable issues.
(belated h/t to Mariposa)

What Debinitions have you noticed cropping up repeatedly? What is her Debinition, and what is the correct DHDebinition?

Partial list of candidates from her output yesterday: sissy, idiot, moron, stalker, thug, dishonorable, pedophile, pathetic, cesspool, "worth paying attention to" (shudder), boring

Inquiring Minds Want To Know: The voices in my head are always very curious about what you peeps think. They call you "normies" Therefore, when there is something I can't explain to them, like VBS'ers, the "inquiring minds want to know". Please tell them so they will be quiet. Their cacophony is becoming a real din.

Here's another debinition:

Phrase: "let's agree to disagree"

Teh deb uses this phrase with uncommon chutzpah.

Example: In her post, "Reply 2 Shystah" (7 August), she responds to Jeff Goldstein's lawyer's letter with: "Let’s agree to disagree about whether my actions are actionable." (As if he has to!)

Example 2: In "Je me regrette beaucoup" (11 August), she avers: "I'm happy to agree to disagree about the ethicality of my filterious behavior." (As if there's any grey area here!)

Notice that, in both of these cases, teh deb™ has a completely ridiculous position. So, her use of "let's agree to disagree" is a bit like someone's saying, "Let's agree to disagree over whether the sky is blue."

Another debinition:

Phrase: "real democracy"

Source: "In a real democratic blogosphere, comments would be edited and sick, murderous, on the way to nazi land comments like this would be deleted and the perpetrators reprimanded."

Debinition: "real democracy" = democracy for all who agree with me.

Tim:

That "real democracy" debinition is going in. She's used that before to justify that it was PW's fault for not banning her and not deleting her comments. Yup!

Here's an example which gives rise to another possible debinition:

"...the disgusting cesspool of sexism and academentia formerly known as harvard university."

Hence, the debinition:

academentia: Any university whose members fail to recognize teh deb's genius

Pissant-anyone that isn't Deb writing anything

"cawl me!"

For teh deb, this means:
"...you'll be sorry if you don't call me."

Dude - in the debinitions, you need to add "creeps" to go along with "peeps".
Creeps - any user who I think is a blog troll simply because they disagree with me.

Oh, yeah~

Let's not forget "brawl"--as in, when teh deb speaks about teh "Blog Brawl"

(...which is a bit like calling teh Civil War 'That Recent Unpleasantness')
