With Labor Day fast approaching, it's time to mothball the seersucker and break out the argyle.

SWP is inaugurating its Learning Annex, so why not launch our own Don't Hire Deb University.

For our decision analysis text, this book shows promise. I particularly recommend Chapter 13, which you can read by logging into Amazon.

And don't forget to Rate The Instructors. (h/t Hawksp)

Ha! We don't break out the argyle down here until late october - and then only for night wear. Jackets generally in mid Dec.

I've included the Debinitions on the lexicon. Please include any suggestions or additions.

Man, time sure flies when you are approaching 40. Now, why did my name change? Oh well.

I can't WAIT till fall. My favorite time of year is from a week before Halloween until a week after New Years. That whole time period rocks out loud

brendak, left one long post for you on last thread. Would you like it here?

I had an interesting experience tonight in my Packaging Technology class.

I had set up a group blog and was showing how to use it. For some reason, Blogger kept sending my posts to the Deb is ma Bitch!! blog.

I would post a "test" to the class blog and the next thing I knew, there would be the other blog.

Since I was doing this with a projector, much hilarity ensued and we quickly moved on to another topic.

I have been fooling around after class and can't figure out what is going on. I wound up having to kill "Deb..." At least for the moment.

Professional requirements have to take priority over fun. At least in the real world, if not in Debba-DebbaLand.

hawk - sure. The other thread is starting to get a little slooooooow.

At 9:39 PM, Blogger Mariposa said...

I was kind of late posting a debinition to the other thread. It's buried way toward the end, so here it is again:

"Actionable"- anything you say about me that I don't like is something I can sue about, even if what you say is true. I can sue and will make lots of money on my actionable issues.

I'm not too particular about the phrasing of the debinition, but for how often she uses it (incorrectly), actionable should definitely be included.

And with that, good night. Catch y'all tomorrow.

Oh, sure, they all say good night, but they all come back -- lured, as butterflys to the flame. (I was going to write moths, but you're such a pretty butterfly that seemed kind of insulting.)

You'll be back. 1 hour, 2 hours, you'll be back before dawn.

At 9:42 PM, Blogger Hawksp said...

You posted after this, you might have seen it alreadly.

Brendak said "I thought it would be fun to just let her go and watch her move that ad piece up into each new post."

Dios Mio Nina, you did it!

She won't know how to move the ad. She won't be able to add more threads because it will shove her advert down and she can't move her ad and it will be just like cutting Judge Smails Achilles Tendon, and when she goes into her backswing….

She’ll have to give up the game.

Hoist the flag, open the champagne, we win!

At 9:43 PM, Blogger joeschmo1of3 said...

Yeah, actionable, she sure has been using that a lot.

We can only wait and hope.

Hello all, back from dinner. Someone ought to write a nice little piece of music for this august blog. Something in Phryschian Mode. Or would that be Frischian Mode? Sounds like a question for Fatwa.

At 9:49 PM, Blogger Hosedragger said...

What music would you suggest?

Okay, amigos. I know little about troubleshooting PC's, but I do like dancin', so with apologies to Johnny Cash: "Women's Prison Blues":

We heard Teh Crazee comin',
It rolled on round teh bend,
She ain't seen teh sunshine,
Since we don't know when,
She's stuck in Women's Prison,
Where time keeps draggin' on,
Because Teh Crazee kept on rollin',
On down to Old Tucson.

When she was just a baby,
Her Mama told her "Son,
Always be a good boy,
Don't ever play with puns",
But she trolled a man in Denver,
Said "If your child should die",
When we saw Teh Crazee comin',
We hung our heads and sighed.

She knows there's smart folks postin',
At teh VBS website,
She knows they're drinking somethin',
And havin' a great night,
But she knows she cannot join them,
She knows she can't be free,
And those peeps all keep a-laughin',
Because it's so phunee.

Well, if they freed her from teh prison,
VBS-ers would not mind,
They know she would keep crossin',
Over every blessed line,
Far from Women's Prison,
That's where she wants to stay,
But the green-can-man keeps comin',
To carry her away.

A real book suggestion? How about something from normative economics by Peter J. Lambert. [Warning, calculus required].

Or something on the economics of uncertainty, perhaps?

Maybe a little Conway Twitty next time, and some Merle Haggard. In my opinion, the three best lines in Country Music History are:

1. "I turned 21 in prison serving life without parole."

2. "I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die."

3. "Hello, darlin'..."

Hosedragger --

Maybe a little Frishmenco piece to play when someone really leaves a mark. Of course, you know this means comiting MIDI, don't you?

I like the flair of the minor mode.
