Is this reality setting in?

I'm not sure what to make of it, I hope it is what it seems, someone finally getting to the point of no return and then abruptly turning away from destruction.

I really do hope that.

This post seems to say otherwise, at least to me.

Some others are calling for Dr. Deb to take the final plunge into madness, I am not one of them. I would much rather learn that she gets the help she needs and can life a somewhat normal life.

A normal life that doesn't include teaching.

Nope, looks to me like she's feeling sorry for herself.

Reread what she wrote. Notice how passive she wants to appear in all this?

There she was, just walkin' along and movin' through life, when:

KaPOW!

Out of a clear blue sky madness struck her and turned her life into a lump of dog poop.

I don't buy it.

She STILL isn't taking responsibility for what she turned her life into.

I told her once that her "trainwreck" metaphor was improper to her situation, since trains only run on the tracks that are laid down for them.

The proper metaphor would be "shipwreck".

She was the captain of her life, and she steered herself right onto a reef.

And now she's sitting in her cabin, packing her seabag, and claiming that she was just an innocent passenger all along...

Bullshit.

She's probably been drinking.

Hope you caught this comment (it is currently comment #34 on the post "jester wants to deal") over at the other site:

QUOTE:
i got a threatening letter from the cockula family lawyer tonight, a feller by the name of Paul Lewis, esquire. I am wondering why this hombre thought it was a good idea to serve me with a restraining order today. i am wondering why he thought it was a good idea to send me a badass tough lawyer letter tonight. (eef u don shaddup, we gonna sue yo ass!)

he ain't the sharpest tack on the block, but of course, what would you expect by someone who is counsel for the count and countess cockula.

I need to think about Paul's letter on behalf of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Todd Goldstein of Denver, Colorado before posting its contents and my response here.

UNQUOTE

The last sentence is particularly amazing.

Naw...she is blaming Bush and Conservatives for her decent to insanity. She isn't admitting to anything and is still treating this whole thing like a game. She is denying culpability in this and with that post is going to lead towards an insanity plea if it comes to that. Her latest comment shows she isn't taking this seriously:

I don't think even being hauled away in cuffs would make her realize how screwed she made her life.

Just watch...she goes back and forth between posts...and sometimes, several times in the same post.

Nothing that a several years long stay at Oregon State Hospital can't cure. This is "Bush Derangement Syndrome" come to it's ugly and predictable conclusion.

sinner, even my most minor misgiving about this site has been completely, irrevocably erased!

This last comment is just sooo out there I can't even comment. Although, I did.

I think you have set a very humane tone (there has to be leeway due to the very nature of Dr. Deb) and I agree the important goal for this blog is to make sure she never teaches again.

Of course, there is plenty of other crap to deal with, but those individuals are handling it just fine.

Now, I'm really a convert!

Thanks lunapuff!

Playing "Look at the nutjob" is only fun for a short while.

Am I a "mean person", well yes... some have said so, but I don't think "meanness" is what is required here. I have never been about anything other than 2 things on this blog.

1. Making sure Dr. Deb never teaches again.
2. Supporting Jeff

Of course, if we have a little fun along the way... ;)

You are a teddy-bear compared to me.

My specialty is the cyber tire iron to the kneecaps.

It's a waterfront thing.
