I almost missed this one!
'tsup google?

Should google really be enabling this defamation of character?
Here are the comments! (the best part!)
Comments: 'tsup google?

Attempting to sue Blogger is a waste of time. Their terms of service state:

"CONTENT RESPONSIBILITY Member acknowledges and agrees that Pyra neither endorses the contents of any Member communications nor assumes responsibility for any threatening, libelous, obscene, harassing or offensive material contained therein, any infringement of third party intellectual property rights arising therefrom or any crime facilitated thereby."

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: its people like you that make our legal system a joke. Stop looking for more and more people to attempt to sue, and start accepting responsibility for your own actions.

Apparently, you still don't grasp the concept of "defamation."

Deb,

I said in another post that I didn't really like that site and I still don't. However, since it consists mostly of your own words, I don't think it's defamation. Anyway, if you google deb frisch there are several pages that come up before that one. So, it should be low on your priority list.

And google is not 'enabling' it. It is merely reading the tags.

Anyway, as BFC stated (quite eloquently)in the previous thread, many of us here are really trying to help you salvage your life. Whether we agree with you or, mostly, not. And it is still possible that your life is bigger than this incident.

Although, you do keep digging and that makes clean up way more difficult.

So, how 'bout it? How about listening to the well meaning ones that are genuinely trying to get you out of this big black hole?

Isn't there at least a tiny voice in your head that knows this is not good for you?

Keep typing CRAZY DEBBIE. Police departments in many states are watching every blog you are known to show your pathetic little fingers. The next knock on your door maybe the man coming to haul you off to a place where they love people that threaten children. No rubber room, just concrete and bars. Oh and plenty of women that love women that threaten little children.

On the positive side, now you get to think about all the money you'll get from sueing Google.

(sigh)

It's about time you realized your own remarks make you look bad.
Posted by SarahW at July 31, 2006 04:17 PM

Once again, how is reprinting your words "defamation"? You defy all logic here, which is not unusual for your internet activity of late.

Right. Sue Google.

Believe it or not, truth is a defense in law.

Simply recounting your nuttiness under the rubric of "Don't Hire Dr. Deborah Frisch" might well be considered a piece of helpful information for prospective employers. And let's face it, the blog simply mines a rich vein.

Sort of like "Notice to Airmen" about flght dangers, or "Hazards to Navigation" about nasty things beneath the waves.

For the love of God, just let it go. Stop threatening to "ramsey" anyone; stop making posts about Jeff and his son.

Just. Stop.

Please.

I'd call it more of an 'explanation of character'.

Again, I agree wtih Patrick.

We're talking about a public service message here.
Posted by Denny Crane at July 31, 2006 05:28 PM

How can you have a Ph.D and not know the meaning of defamation? The website doesn't slander you Deb. It just posts everything you said, word for word. That is called freedom of speech. They aren't claiming the you go out in the dark of night and hurt children. Does that make it clearer for you? Every post you put up is being watched by law enforcement and Lawyers. Do you get that?

If google won't I will. I run my own personal webhosting biz, having my own server colocated at a data center and all. I'm mirroring the donthiredeb blog, to make sure it survives any attempt at litigious takedown.

To "A Reasonable Person": Sorry you don't like this blog... Thanks for making the point though!

Sarah W and Patrick make great points, thanks much!

Also thanks to "Warlock" for the repeated offer of blog hosting. I hope that Google doesn't force our hand, but it is nice to know that someone feels as strongly about this as I do.

Glad to offer, I really don't want my kids ever even accidentally winding up in front of this demonstrable nutbag. And I'm sure any reasonable parent would feel the same.

She really needs to not look for a job, not go talk to lawyers (of which any in their right mind would tell her to go frisch herself (oops too late!) preferably after running up a huge bill "researching" the case), she needs to seek professional help, as in mental health counseling. She is not well and I fear that her wish will come true and she will incite someone to do her in. Suicide by blog? Yeesh. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. I pray that she gets help before she completes her self destruction process. There's enough senseless death in the world these days without people seeking it upon themselves.

The primary reason why I am offering site hosting, etc for this blog and any comments it has, is to ensure its survival. I hate the idea of sites being taken offline just because it is repeatng the truth. I am an avid Bill of Rights fan, and will champion the cause of spreading truth however that may be necessitated. I also believe EVERYONE should know what Deb is doing, because anyone who knows her can take one simple look and know for sure they need to get her help and fast. The wider the word gets spread the quicker someone who knows her will see it, and help her. And that would be the best outcome possible in my opinion.

That was me posting as A Reasonable Person and I did not like this at first. She seems to be doing such a fine job of burying herself alive, it seemed cruel for others to pick up a shovel.

But I have changed my mind.

Maybe seeing everything she's done all neatly packaged in one place will be the eye-opener she needs.

Although, at this point I seriously doubt it.

Ok, so sometimes I'm a bit slow!
