I'm glad you are here chell. I suspect some minds were changed today, yours included.
Otta:
Try post-high school education.
Works with post-middle school education, so I would go with that formulation.
Otta, I went down to where Brenda was & asked her to come up here. I don't know if she's still on or not.
Ottava -
I believe it is "post-high school" but I don't have the reference material on hand to be better than 92% sure.
Hey, rabbit -
Still here, I answered on wrong thread first time.
Doh!
LOL I did that on Hosedragger's site. Felt like an idiot! LOL
I think the rest of the crew is on it's way to this thread.
Plus, a special treat! We may be joined by travelin' trawlin' troll beau.
Fresh from AbbeyWeb listserv, and with lots of arrogance to spare, everyone please give beau a special DHD welcome.
Do you think he can find his way up here?
We didn't leave a rock trail or anything.
Did you leave any brownie crumbs BK?
Chell!
Have you given any more thought to Wife Swap (trading spouses)???
I still say you're a good person! Don't change.
May not agree 100% with your politics - but can't deny you have a good heart.

Good Evening Barney
Hawk,
I see chell has pimped Ubuntu and that is really good advice. Personally, I like KDE so I usually go with the Ubuntu offshoot KUbuntu.
These come out of the Debian line and are very stable and super easy to set up. KUbuntu is a single disk, but you best have a good net connection because you are going to be downloadin'
As for your printer, HP is very well supported under Linux. My bizzare Lexmark z82 all in one has a driver, so a common printer like yours should also be out there.
It wouldn't hurt to check before you leap, but I would certainly give it a try.
One less Microsoft install is a good thing.
Of course, my main system is XP because I write games... Can't really make a living at Linux games...

Oh, no. No, no, no-oo-ooooooh. Good borwniens.
Scullery duties are finished; I hope I haven't completely missed our new petite sac pompeux du gaz.
You know...the disdainful, vainglorious one who can't spell "y'all".
Chell: More stable than Windows

Is it ok if we crash with teh silly here? The other thread was getting all big.
*I use Windows because that's what the people pay me the bucks for. As I tell my current clients, "All your bonus payments belong to me."
Hi rabbit!
Hope everyone is doing good tonight.
The boss left me in charge (she's the PM Nurse Manager in the ER at the local Med Center).
Looks like a few interesting happening here today.
are belong to me.
Brownies made me lose the pop culture reference.
You want for me to fix up a new thread???
For you my little red-headed, southern drawl sweetie, ANYTHING
BrendaK, I have a true story involving cats, illegal brownies, 2 18yrs old ,a flasher in a park & the police! It's too much to type here, can I put it in your comments on your blog when I have time to type it?
rabbit - please do!
sinner - gosh, don't you guys like us crashing in on you?
Hop, hop rabbit -
Another new thread! Dedicated to teh silly!
We need the Twit Olympics, stat. I want to be the one that falls down a lot.
From an Abbey List subscriber, talking about us, I think:
I'll speak to the gallery of "unknowns" and say this...don't ever make the mistake of doing such a thing to me.

Just not making a living doing it... ;)
